Jeanne Elium, M.A., is a California Distinguished Woman Writer Award winning author and  a parent/child development specialist.  She has been a parenting and family expert for America Online/iVilliage's Parent Soup, the world's largest and most visited parenting website.   She has also written for the website project Cheerios' Kids, sponsored by General Mills.  She is the lead writer with her husband Don, of four bestselling parenting books.

She is quoted in many articles in Redbook, Family Life Magazine, Newsweek, Family Circle, Sesame Street Magazine, and newspapers around the country.  She has been an instructor at John F. Kennedy University; worked as a trainer for the state of Idaho; and was an elementary school teacher, and a women's health and personal growth counselor.  While she researches material for the Elium's next book, she also coaches writers wishing to publish their work.
